What this comparison compares

Nineteen criteria, checked on 29 October 2026 on adespresso.com, its pricing page and its feature pages, against Apogee’s own product pages.

We have not tested AdEspresso: everything about it comes from what it publishes, and “not published” does not mean “absent”. Its help center is reserved for signed-in customers. When two of its pages contradict each other, we go with its pricing page.

Two tools that do not start from the same place

AdEspresso started in Italy in 2011, and Hootsuite acquired it in February 2017. It starts from the split test: you add images, headlines, copy and audiences, it creates every combination, then its Inspector shows which variable made the difference. Around that come optimization rules on CPA or ROI, campaign approval by a client and PDF reports. It prices by plan, and its first plan caps ad spend: “Spend limit: $1,000/month”.

Apogee starts from the creatives your team has already edited. It reads the convention in your file names with naming detection, builds one ad per concept and iteration with its formats, sorts it into one of the four testing structures, then launches on Meta, and on TikTok and Snapchat too from Pro. It bills per seat.

If you test variants of one visual on Facebook and Instagram, AdEspresso is made for that. If you get dozens of videos a week to launch on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, Apogee starts there.

Split tests and testing structures, in detail

CriterionApogeeAdEspresso
Starting pointyour files, read by their namesthe elements to test: images, headlines, copy, audiences
What gets createdone ad per concept and iteration, with its 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 formatsevery combination of the elements you add
Structure4 structures, including insertion into an existing ad setcombinations created in a new campaign; insertion into an existing ad set not published

The two approaches answer two questions. AdEspresso looks for the best combination of elements; Apogee gets the concepts your creative team produced live, fast and clean, without losing their names. The detail on Apogee’s side is on the Meta Ads bulk upload page.

The arithmetic for your team

AdEspresso shows its prices in dollars, plus tax according to its sign-up page; Apogee shows its own before tax on its pricing page. The gaps below depend on the exchange rate.

Alone, with less than $1,000 of spend a month on Facebook and Instagram, you pay $49 with AdEspresso against €69 with Apogee. Above $1,000, AdEspresso moves you to Plus, $99 a month; Apogee stays at €69 on Meta, or €99 with TikTok Ads and Snapchat Ads, whatever the spend.

As a team, AdEspresso costs less as long as you stay on Facebook and Instagram: Plus includes up to 15 seats for $99. With Apogee, five Starter seats cost €207.00 a month, volume discount included. That price covers unlimited Meta ad accounts, naming detection and testing structures; with Pro, it adds TikTok, Snapchat, the Bridge and the API.

To connect your own tools, AdEspresso’s API requires the Enterprise plan, from $259 a month. The REST API and the Apogee MCP come with Pro, at €99 per seat.

The Bridge: beyond Facebook and Instagram

AdEspresso covers Facebook and Instagram. If an ad works on TikTok and you want to take it to Meta, or the other way round, you rebuild it in each platform’s own tool.

Apogee’s Bridge starts from the live ad, in all six directions between Meta, TikTok and Snapchat. It keeps the video, rewrites the text, the CTA and the UTMs for the destination platform, and crops nothing: an ad without a 9:16 variant is refused. It comes with the Pro and Scale plans.

What to check for yourself

Ask AdEspresso what has changed lately: the last entry on its “What’s new” page dates from April 2021, and the last post on its blog from January 2023. Meta’s APIs change often; a launch tool has to keep up.

Then answer three questions:

  1. Do your tests compare combinations of elements, or whole concepts?
  2. Do you launch, or will you launch, on TikTok or Snapchat?
  3. How many people launch, and how much do you spend a month?

The third sets the plan with AdEspresso and the number of seats with Apogee. To answer it on a real batch, try Apogee for 7 days for €1, with no ad limit, on all three platforms from Pro.

Run the test on your own creatives.

Frequently asked questions

What is AdEspresso?

AdEspresso is a tool for creating and optimizing Facebook and Instagram ads, started in Italy in 2011 and acquired by Hootsuite in February 2017. It is built around split testing: it combines images, copy and audiences, then analyses each variable. It adds optimization rules, campaign approval by a client and PDF reports.

How much does AdEspresso cost?

AdEspresso publishes three monthly plans, checked on 29 October 2026: Starter at $49, with ad spend capped at $1,000 a month; Plus at $99, with unlimited spend and up to 15 seats; Enterprise from $259, with unlimited seats, API access and a dedicated consultant. Apogee starts at €69 per seat, per month, and its price does not move when spend goes up.

Does AdEspresso have a free trial?

Yes, 14 days free on its three plans, according to its pricing page on 29 October 2026; at the end of the trial, the subscription starts and is charged unless you cancel. Apogee can be tried for 7 days for €1, on the plan you pick and with no ad limit, on TikTok Ads and Snapchat Ads too from Pro, with a credit card.

Does AdEspresso handle TikTok, Snapchat or Google Ads?

AdEspresso's pricing page, checked on 29 October 2026, only lists Facebook and Instagram, and its FAQ says it supports those two platforms for campaign creation and analytics. An older page of its website also mentions Google Ads. TikTok and Snapchat are not mentioned. Apogee launches on Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and Snapchat Ads, and its Bridge moves a live ad from one to another.

Does AdEspresso have an API?

Yes, on the Enterprise plan, from $259 a month, according to its pricing page; its documentation is not published, and no MCP server is advertised. From Pro, at €99 per seat, Apogee includes an MCP server with 80 tools for Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and a REST API with 48 operations, with 10,000 credits a month.

AdEspresso or Apogee, which one to pick?

AdEspresso suits a small team that stays on Facebook and Instagram, tests combinations of images, copy and audiences, and has its clients approve campaigns. Apogee suits a team that launches its own creatives in batches, with its naming and testing structures, on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat.
