What this comparison compares
Eighteen criteria, checked on 24 October 2026 in Meta’s announcement, its Help Center and its developer documentation, against the Apogee MCP documentation.
We have not tested Meta’s server on an account: everything about it comes from what Meta publishes, and “not published” does not mean “missing”. Meta also warns that the beta opens gradually: not every account has every tool yet.
Two MCP servers that do not give the same access
Meta’s MCP opens the Marketing API to your assistant. It reads performance, creates and edits campaigns, ad sets, ads and creatives, and manages audiences and catalogs. What the assistant does with it depends on what you ask: Meta creates everything paused, and the assistant asks for confirmation before turning an ad on.
The Apogee MCP puts Apogee’s workflow inside your assistant. For a launch, it asks the app’s questions, in the same order, with the choices read from your account and a recommended answer. It reads your file names with your naming convention to build the ads, sorts the creatives into one of the four test structures, then shows the full recap. Nothing goes out before your yes.
Meta’s MCP gives your assistant everything the API can do on Meta; the Apogee MCP gives it Apogee’s way of launching, on three platforms.
TikTok, Snapchat and the Bridge
Meta’s server covers Meta only. TikTok has had its own since July 2026, and Snap since 3 August 2026, read-only: a team buying on all three platforms connects three servers, each with its own sign-in, rules and limits. The details are in our TikTok Ads MCP and Snapchat Ads MCP comparisons.
The Apogee MCP launches on Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and Snapchat Ads with the same interview, the same recap and the same yes. With the Bridge, an ad that works on Meta moves to TikTok or Snapchat, and a TikTok or Snapchat ad moves to Meta: the video is kept, while the text, the CTA and the tracking are rewritten for the destination. The Bridge also copies an ad to another Meta ad account, reusing its post when possible, likes and comments included.
The risk of an ad account restriction
In spring 2026, stories went around: advertisers said they lost their Meta account after connecting an AI agent with write access. Meta has confirmed no link. Its Help Center says an account is unlikely to be banned just for using its MCP server, and ties bans to breaking its advertising standards.
What those stories describe, though, are moves Meta keeps in check: bursts of calls, budgets changed again and again, ads set live with no human review. The Marketing API limits give the scale: four budget changes an hour for an ad set, ten changes a day for an account’s spending limit, one edit every 30 seconds for the same object. Meta also cuts, for a while, the quota of an account whose traffic looks abnormal. And its developer terms forbid sharing an access token, except with a service provider that runs the app.
A badly built MCP server, or an agent left without guardrails, can chain exactly what Meta watches. The Apogee MCP is built not to:
- an OAuth connection through Apogee, a Meta Business Partner: no token to paste into a third-party tool;
- a yes before anything is sent: every launch goes through a recap, every change is prepared and shown, then run once, within 24 hours; whatever is created starts paused;
- no blind retries: after Meta rejects something, it explains the cause and does not try again until it is fixed;
- a capped pace: 600 MCP calls per quarter hour on Pro, 1,200 on Scale, a budget of calls to Meta per ad account, and on TikTok and Snapchat, a budget refused above a safety cap.
Since its launch, no customer has reported to us an account restricted after using the Apogee MCP. If Meta restricts your advertising access anyway, the steps are in our “Your advertising access is restricted” guide.
The price
Meta has published no price for its AI connectors during the beta. The Apogee MCP is included in the Pro plan, at €99 per seat, per month, with 10,000 credits a month: enough to create 666 ads or make 5,000 changes, with reads free up to 5,000 a day. Scale includes 30,000, and Starter has no MCP. The credit details are on the pricing page.
What to check for yourself
- Do you launch on Meta only, or on TikTok and Snapchat too?
- Does your assistant need to create catalogs, audiences or A/B tests? Meta’s MCP covers them, the Apogee MCP does not.
- Who approves what the agent does on your account, and when?
Meta is opening its MCP gradually: check that it is turned on for your account. For the Apogee MCP, the Pro plan’s trial lasts 7 days for €1, with 2,500 credits.
Run the test on your own creatives.
7 days on the plan of your choice, no ad limit, for €1. Or request a demo on your own setup.

Frequently asked questions
Another question? Ask MathieuWhat is the Meta Ads MCP?
The Meta Ads MCP is Meta's official MCP server, in open beta since 29 April 2026 at mcp.facebook.com/ads. It lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT read performance and create or edit campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, audiences and catalogs, on Meta only. Other vendors also sell MCP servers for Meta Ads.
How much does the Meta Ads MCP cost?
Meta had published no price for its MCP as of 24 October 2026, during the beta. The Apogee MCP is included in the Pro plan, at €99 per seat, per month with 10,000 credits a month, and in Scale with 30,000 credits; Starter has no MCP.
Can the Meta Ads MCP get an ad account banned?
Unlikely just from using it, says Meta's Help Center, which ties bans to its advertising standards. The cases shared in spring 2026 are first-person accounts Meta has not confirmed: an agent with write access, calls that came too fast, budgets changed again and again. The Apogee MCP prepares every action and waits for your yes before running it, once.
Does the Meta Ads MCP handle TikTok and Snapchat?
No, Meta's server covers Meta only. TikTok has had its own since July 2026 and Snap since 3 August 2026, read-only: three connections and three sets of rules. The Apogee MCP launches on all three platforms with the same workflow, and the Bridge relaunches a Meta ad on TikTok or Snapchat.
Meta Ads MCP or Apogee MCP, which one to pick?
Meta's MCP suits you if you work on Meta alone and want the full range of the API, catalogs and audiences included, with no announced price. The Apogee MCP suits you if you launch batches of creatives with your naming convention and test structures, on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, with a recap to approve before anything is sent. Both plug into the same assistant.
Try Apogee on your own account.
The surest way to decide: launch your own creatives. 7 days on the plan of your choice, no ad limit, for €1.
