"Our review indicates that your advertising account may violate TikTok's Advertiser Account Policies."

Why it happens

• The account itself is in question. This reason points to TikTok’s Advertiser Account Policy. It covers the advertiser’s behavior, on top of what the ads say.
• Five families of behavior.
  • Platform manipulation: getting around moderation, disrupting ad operations.
  • Misleading business practices, including off TikTok.
  • Deceptive identity: falsified documents, impersonating a public figure.
  • Financial integrity: unapproved payment methods.
  • Information security: unauthorized access, data extraction.
• The review can be automated. TikTok says it checks advertisers manually or with automated tools. Enforcement ranges from a temporary to a permanent suspension, sometimes across all ByteDance platforms.

How to fix it

1. Mind the deadline: after a first violation, you usually have 30 days to appeal. According to TikTok’s help center, the suspension becomes permanent after that, and what remains is the refund process for your balance. For a serious violation, TikTok may suspend the account immediately, without that window.
2. Follow the suspension banner or pop-up to the Account Health tab in TikTok Ads Manager.
3. In the Suspension Details section, read the enforcement information.
4. Check the points this policy covers, and fix what you can:
   • the payment method is approved by TikTok and in the name of the verified business;
   • the business documents are genuine;
   • the landing page shows no misleading business practice;
   • no automation tool gets around ad creation or moderation.
5. File one appeal only: the system blocks duplicate appeals for the same issue.
6. Click Submit Appeal. Fill out the form and attach your supporting documents. TikTok mentions supporting documents without listing them; its policy says business verification documents may be requested.
7. Track the appeal in the Appeal widget on the Account Health tab. If the status changes to More Information Required, reply in the Appeal Details drawer within 48 hours.

What other advertisers suggest, unconfirmed

No lead has been confirmed so far. One report shows an appeal isn’t always enough: on April 13, 2026, one advertiser reports a rejected appeal, then the prepaid balance refund disabled and their tickets blocked (comment).

How to avoid it next time

• Pay with a payment method TikTok approves, in the name of the verified business.
• Verify the account with genuine business documents, and never use an identity that isn’t yours.
• Don’t use tools that get around ad creation or moderation processes.
• Keep an eye on the Account Health tab: an “Attention Needed” status is a warning before a suspension.
