"Your account has been suspended."

Why it happens

• A policy violation. TikTok suspends an ad account that breaks its advertising policies, in the ads or on the landing page; all of the account’s ads stop.
• Temporary or permanent. TikTok’s help center describes a temporary suspension, with 30 days to fix the problem or appeal, and a permanent one once that time has passed.
• Account behavior counts too. Advertisers report automatic suspensions right after the first top-up on accounts created through a VPN, and a 2026 case of an account suspended after an AI assistant drove the Ads Manager web interface with simulated clicks instead of the API.

How to fix it

1. In TikTok Ads Manager, read the reason in the notification or in the Account Health tab.
2. Fix the ads or the website in question.
3. Appeal from the notification (Appeal), within 30 days. TikTok’s help center also explains how to submit an appeal from Account Health.
4. If the suspension becomes permanent, any remaining balance goes through TikTok’s refund procedure for suspended ad accounts.

What worked for other advertisers

On r/TikTokAds, media buyers who got accounts back describe the same routine:

1. Open a short, polite support ticket asking for a review and offering to verify your identity. 3 replies confirm it, one adding “it worked without me even sending the documents!”.
2. If the answer is a permanent suspension, reply in the same ticket with an ID and a bank statement (PDF), and ask for a new review. A 2026 reply advises attaching the business documents and a statement matching the card on file from the first message: “Pre-loading these documents is the fastest way”.
3. If the ticket stalls, close it and open a new one; never create a new account while tickets from the old one are still open.

Repeated appeals with no new information did not work: advertisers in 2026 describe the same automated refusal every time.

How to avoid it next time

• Verify the ad account with real business documents when you create it, and keep the payment card in the same name.
• Don’t create accounts through a VPN or drive Ads Manager with tools that simulate clicks: both are linked to automatic suspensions in advertisers’ reports.
• Don’t open a new account to get around a suspension: it is treated as circumventing TikTok’s systems.
