Either the object you are trying to access is not visible to you or the action you are trying to take is restricted to certain account types. (error code 200, subcode 1487194)
In short
Meta refused the action because the profile or app making it cannot see the object involved (the ad account, the Facebook Page or the Instagram account), or because the account is in a state that blocks the action.

Where it shows up: in Ads Manager and in the response of Meta’s Marketing API.
Why it happens
- A missing permission. Meta’s help center lists this exact message (error #1487194) among the errors that prevent you from creating or editing ads when you don’t have the right Page or Instagram account permissions. To advertise, you need full control or partial access (Ads) on the Page, a professional Instagram account connected to that Page, and the Admin or Advertiser role on the ad account.
- A view-only role. The Analyst role can view ads and reports but cannot create or edit ads.
- An ad account disabled after a failed payment, according to advertisers. Meta does not link this message to payments, but advertisers say they fixed it by paying their balance (see below). Meta’s help center says that when a payment fails, the ads are paused and the ad account is disabled until the amount due is paid; Billing & payments can then show an unsettled balance.
- For API users: Meta’s Marketing API error reference names code 200 “Permission error”, and the Graph API documentation puts codes 200-299 in the permission range: the permission was either never granted or has been removed.
How to fix it
- In Ads Manager, open Ad account settings and find yourself in the Ad account roles section. You need Admin or Advertiser to create ads; an admin can add you with the right role through Add people.
- If the ad account, Page or Instagram account belongs to a business portfolio, ask someone with full control of it to assign them to you in Meta Business Suite (Settings > People), with ad management on the ad account and at least partial access (Ads) on the Page.
- Check the payment status: Billing & payments > select the ad account > Payment methods. If an amount is due, click Pay now.
- If the account shows as disabled or restricted for another reason, follow Meta’s “Troubleshoot a disabled or restricted account” steps.
- Try the action again with the same profile.
What worked for other advertisers
In the main r/FacebookAds thread on this message, what unblocked people was on the billing and account side:
- In Billing & payments, pay any balance due (even a few cents) and replace an expired or declined card, then reload the page.
- In the ad account settings, reactivate the account if it was deactivated.
- If it still fails, pick another Page in the ad and then the right one again: advertisers say this reveals the real cause.
The reactivation tip collected 9 replies, mostly thank-yous such as “This solves my problem. Thanks!”; four other advertisers say paying the balance fixed it.

How to avoid it next time
- Give the Advertiser role (not Analyst) to everyone who creates or edits ads.
- Add a secondary payment method to the ad account: Meta’s help center suggests it to keep ads running when the main payment method has a problem.
- When you connect a tool to Meta, connect it with a Facebook profile that has these roles on the ad account, the Page and the Instagram account.

Frequently asked questions
Is error 1487194 a ban?
No, not by itself. Meta lists it among permission errors. Check the roles and the billing status first; a disabled or restricted account has its own process in Meta’s help center.
I am an admin of the ad account and still get it. Why?
It can still happen. The message covers several cases: the Page or Instagram permissions can be missing even when your ad account role is fine, and advertisers say paying an unpaid balance unblocked them: after a failed payment, Meta disables the ad account until the amount due is paid.
Does the message say which object I cannot see?
No. That is its main limit: it never names the object. Check the ad account first, then the Page, then the Instagram account.
